Product Description
The PennEngineering® (PEM®) CLS-M3-2 is a premium self-clinching nut designed to establish durable, permanent load-bearing threads in thin sheet metal. Formed from robust 300 Series Stainless Steel, this high-performance fastener offers excellent corrosion resistance and non-magnetic properties, making it highly reliable for consumer electronics, automotive components, and medical equipment. When installed into a properly sized metric hole using a parallel squeezing force, the parent sheet metal cold flows directly into the nut's special undercut, anchoring the hardware tightly into place as an integral part of the sheet. An engineered serrated clinching ring completely prevents the nut from rotating or loosening during service, ensuring maximum pushout and torque-out resistance.
High Pushout and Torque-Out Resistance Delivers structural joint integrity, remaining permanently locked under high torque and axial load forces.
Serrated Clinching Ring Grips the host panel material securely upon press-in installation to completely stop fastener spinning.
300 Series Stainless Steel Composition Inherently non-magnetic and highly corrosion-resistant, satisfying rigid cleanroom or harsh-environment specifications.
Undercut Panel Interlock Captures displaced sheet metal through standard parallel squeezing to create a clean mechanical fit without welding or warping.
