Product Description
The PennEngineering® (PEM®) CLS-M3-0 is a high-precision self-clinching nut engineered to provide permanent, reliable load-bearing threads in ultra-thin sheet metals. Fabricated from high-quality 300 Series Stainless Steel, this fastener delivers superior corrosion resistance and non-magnetic performance, making it highly suitable for demanding applications in automotive electronics, consumer electronics, and datacom systems. When pressed into a properly prepared metric hole via a parallel squeezing force, the parent sheet metal cold flows directly into the nut's special undercut, integrating the hardware as a permanent part of the panel. This design features a specialized serrated clinching ring that locks into position to deliver maximum pushout and torque-out resistance, completely preventing the nut from spinning during service.
High Pushout and Torque-Out Resistance Delivers structural thread integrity, ensuring the permanent joint remains completely locked under high axial or torque forces.
Serrated Clinching Ring Securely grips the host panel material upon installation to eliminate the risk of fastener rotation during assembly.
300 Series Stainless Steel Material Inherently non-magnetic and highly corrosion-resistant, satisfying rigid cleanroom or harsh-environment specifications.
Undercut Mechanical Interlock Captures displaced host metal cleanly via standard parallel squeezing force to provide a secure, weld-free component integration.
