Sherex (ATLAS) BLIND THREADED INSERTS
Sherex (Atlas), a PEM Engineering brand, provides blind threaded inserts, also known as rivet nuts or blind threaded rivets. They are commonly used when application access is limited to only one side. These inserts provide strong and reusable permanent threads into sheet material. Sherex/Atlas fasteners are made up of three types:
- SpinTite® - Are installed in many blind applications that need strong reliable threads. These inserts are installed from one side with the spin technique.
- MaxTite® - Are a heavy duty option for the more rugged applications. Inserts are installed with the spin/pull technique.
- Plus Tite® - Are inserts that have a slotted body which fold into petals that grip the backside of the parent material. These inserts can be installed into single, double, or multiple layers of material.
