The PennEngineering® (PEM®) CLS-M3-1 is a high-precision self-clinching nut engineered to provide permanent, load-bearing threads in thin sheet metal panels. Fabricated from premium 300 Series Stainless Steel, this robust fastener offers outstanding corrosion resistance and non-magnetic performance, making it highly reliable for compact consumer electronics, automotive electronics, and datacom systems. When installed into a properly sized metric hole via a parallel squeezing force, the parent sheet metal cold flows directly into the nut's special undercut, anchoring the hardware tightly into place as an integral part of the sheet. A specialized serrated clinching ring locks completely into the panel, providing superior pushout and torque-out resistance to prevent rotation or loose hardware during final product service.
