Product Description
The FH-032-8ZI is a self-clinching threaded stud from PennEngineering® (PEM®) designed to provide a permanent external thread in thin sheet metal applications. Installed using a simple press-in process, the stud becomes securely anchored as displaced sheet material flows into the stud’s undercut, creating a high-strength mechanical interlock.
Once installed, the stud offers excellent push-out and torque resistance while maintaining a flush head on the installation side, making it ideal for applications where space, appearance, or clearance is critical. The 8-32 UNC thread supports common inch-series hardware, while the carbon steel construction with zinc plating (ZI) provides durability and corrosion resistance for general-purpose and indoor environments.
The FH series is widely used in electronics enclosures, industrial panels, HVAC equipment, appliances, and structural sheet metal assemblies, where reliable threaded attachment points are required without welding or secondary fasteners.
