The Heli-Coil 1185-04EN168 is a specialized free-running wire thread insert designed to create high-strength, permanent internal threads in extreme-temperature environments. Formed from high-performance Inconel X-750 alloy wire with a diamond cross-section, this tanged insert retains superior tensile strength and oxidation resistance under severe thermal stress. Featuring a streamlined free-running design, it allows male fasteners to thread smoothly without rotational friction until final seating torque is applied. The specialized coil profile distributes clamping loads uniformly across the parent material, delivering high-temperature stripping protection and galling resistance in critical aerospace and high-heat assemblies.
