The PEM® BSO-8632-14ZI is a self-clinching blind threaded standoff designed to stack or space components while ensuring a permanent attachment in thin metal sheets. The closed-end (blind) design features a solid outer wall that acts as a barrier against contaminants, effectively sealing the assembly from dust, dirt, and moisture. This configuration also serves as a positive stop that protects delicate internal components by limiting thread penetration. Installed by being squeezed into a round hole using a standard press, the fastener causes the host material to cold-flow into an undercut,resulting in high pushout and torque-out resistance. Once seated, the head of the standoff remains flush with the mounting sheet, providing a clean, professional exterior profile without secondary operations.
