The PEM® BSO-8632-22ZI is a self-clinching blind threaded standoff designed to stack or space components while providing a permanent attachment in thin metal sheets. Its closed-end (blind) design features a solid outer wall that acts as a barrier against contaminants, effectively sealing the assembly from dust, dirt, and moisture. This configuration also serves as a positive stop that protects delicate internal components by limiting thread penetration. Specifically engineered with a thick-wall design, the 8632 thread code provides a larger bearing surface for mating panels, which helps distribute assembly loads and reduces the risk of board damage. Once seated by being squeezed into a round hole, the head remains flush with the mounting sheet, maintaining a clean professional profile.
