Product Description
The PEM® BSOS-832-28 is a self-clinching blind threaded standoff designed for the permanent mounting, spacing, or stacking of panels, circuit boards, and internal components. Manufactured by PennEngineering®, these fasteners are pressed into properly sized round holes in thin metal sheets, becoming an integral, permanent part of the assembly. When these blind-threaded standoffs are used, the outer sheet surfaces are not only completely flush, but closed as well. This unique barrier protects the internal thread cavity from dust, debris, and environmental contaminants while maintaining a clean, unmarred exterior surface profile.
Blind-Threaded Design: Keeps the outer sheet surfaces completely flush and closed, isolating internal components from external debris.
Self-Clinching Functionality: Installs permanently into thin metal sheets with a simple pressing action, eliminating loose hardware risks.
No Welding Required: Offers a secure, high-strength attachment point without the need for welding operations that can warp or damage host panels.
Reliable Component Spacing: Provides a precise and robust structural solution for the clean spacing, stacking, or mounting of secondary panels and multi-tiered hardware assemblies.
