BSOS-M4-20 - Blind Threaded Standoffs by PennEngineering ® (PEM ® )

The PEM® BSOS-M4-20 is an extended length metric self-clinching blind threaded standoff manufactured by PennEngineering® to establish strong, load-bearing internal threads in thin metal sheets. These fasteners install efficiently with a steady squeezing force into properly sized round holes, using a mechanical self-clinching action that forces host material to cold-flow into the undercut so the standoff becomes permanently mounted as an integral part of the chassis layout. Thanks to its blind-threaded engineering, the outer surface of the thin sheet metal remains completely flush and closed after installation. This allows design engineers to maintain a pristine, unblemished exterior panel profile while providing an unbroken physical barrier that completely isolates delicate internal electronic components and the thread cavity from external dust, moisture, and environmental contaminants.
