The PEM® BSOS-M4-22 is an extra-long metric self-clinching blind threaded standoff precision-engineered by PennEngineering® to establish highly reliable internal threads in thin metal profiles. These fasteners deploy via a steady parallel squeezing action into properly sized round holes, initiating a mechanical self-clinching movement that forces panel material into the undercut to become a permanently mounted structural part of the chassis. Due to its blind-threaded engineering, the outer sheet surface remains completely flush and closed following installation. This allows design engineers to maintain a pristine, unmarred panel exterior while providing an unbreached physical barrier that seals delicate internal electronics and the thread cavity from external dust, moisture, and debris.

Blind-Threaded Configuration: Features a closed bottom barrel that keeps the reverse side of the host sheet clean, smooth, and completely sealed against environmental ingress.
