Product Description
The CLS-632-2 Self-Clinching Nut by PennEngineering® (PEM®) is designed to provide strong, reusable internal threads in thin sheet metal where traditional tapped or welded nuts are not practical. Engineered for blind installations, this nut installs permanently with a simple press-in operation, making it ideal for applications where only one side of the sheet is accessible.
The CLS series features a closed-end (sealed) design, preventing the passage of liquids, debris, or contaminants through the panel. During installation, surrounding sheet material cold-flows into the nut’s undercut, creating a robust mechanical interlock that resists rotation and pull-out under load. The result is a durable, flush-mounted fastening solution that enhances both structural integrity and environmental protection.
Manufactured from stainless steel with a zinc-plated finish, the CLS-632-2 delivers dependable corrosion resistance for general industrial and indoor applications. Its #6-32 UNC thread makes it a versatile choice for electronics enclosures, control panels, appliances, and other sheet metal assemblies requiring sealed fastening points.
