The SOUTHCO E3-59-25 is a heavy-duty E3 VISE ACTION® Compression Latch designed to provide robust, vibration-resistant closure for demanding industrial applications. This latch uses Southco's signature Vise Action mechanism, which pulls the door tight with a single continuous half-turn motion.
The first 90° of rotation swings the pawl into place behind the frame, while the second 90° completes the 6.4 mm (.25 in) compression stroke. This mechanical advantage ensures a consistent, high-pressure seal that is ideal for environmental protection and eliminating noise caused by vibration.
High Compression: The 6.4 mm compression stroke compensates for gasket set and ensures a water-tight and dust-tight seal.
Tool-Operated Security: The 8 mm hex recess head style provides a level of security by requiring a specific tool for operation, preventing unauthorized access.
