Product Description
The PEMSERT® Self-Clinching Flush Nut (Type F) is a specialized stainless steel fastener from PennEngineering® (PEM®) designed to provide strong, permanent threads in thin metal sheets while remaining completely flush on both sides of the assembly.
The F-M4-1 variant is engineered for M4 threaded applications. By utilizing a hexagonal head that is pressed into a round hole, the fastener displaces host material into a clinching ring, creating a high-strength, torque-resistant permanent bond. This makes it an ideal choice for electronics, aerospace, and medical equipment where surface protrusions would interfere with components or aesthetics.
Dual-Side Flush: Provides an obstruction-free finish on both "top" and "bottom" surfaces.
High Torque-Out Resistance: The hexagonal head design prevents the nut from rotating within the sheet under high loads.
Corrosion Resistance: Manufactured from 300 Series Stainless Steel, suitable for a wide range of environments.
Material Compatibility: Specifically for use in ductile materials like aluminum or cold-rolled steel with a hardness of HRB 70 (HB 125) or less.
