The Heli-Coil® NAS1130-06L15 is a tangless, screw-locking wire thread insert precision-manufactured from 304 stainless steel. Built to meet strict National Aerospace Standards (NAS1130), this insert establishes durable, wear-resistant #6-32 UNC internal threads in low-density parent metals like aluminum, magnesium, and composite materials. Featuring an advanced tangless design, it completely eliminates tang break-off and removal steps, streamlining installation and eliminating foreign object debris (FOD) risks in critical aerospace and electronic assemblies. Internal resilient locking coils exert constant radial pressure on the mating bolt to prevent rotational loosening caused by severe shock, vibration, and thermal stress.
