The Heli-Coil® NAS1130-06L15P is a tangless, screw-locking wire thread insert precision-manufactured from 304 stainless steel with a cadmium plating. Designed to meet aerospace standards, it creates permanent, high-strength .138-32 (#6-32) UNC internal threads in low-density parent metals such as aluminum and magnesium. Featuring an advanced tangless design, it completely eliminates tang break-off and retrieval steps, accelerating installation while eliminating foreign object debris (FOD) risks in critical aerospace and military assemblies. Internal resilient locking coils exert continuous radial pressure on the mating fastener to resist rotational loosening caused by severe shock and vibration, while the cadmium finish provides exceptional corrosion resistance and consistent installation torque.
Tangless Wire Construction eliminates tang removal and vacuum retrieval steps, shortening assembly cycles and completely preventing foreign object debris (FOD) hazards in sensitive assemblies.
