Product Description
The SKC-F1.5 acts as a stand-off or spacer that enables a "slip-on and lock" assembly. The fastener is permanently clinched into the bottom (base) sheet, while the head of the fastener remains elevated. A corresponding keyhole-shaped slot is punched into the top sheet; the top sheet is then placed over the fastener head and slid into the narrow portion of the slot to lock the assembly in place.
Tool-less Detachment: Once installed, the top sheet can be attached or removed without tools by simply sliding it along the keyhole slot.
Flush Underside: The clinching process leaves the reverse side of the base sheet flush, maintaining a clean exterior profile.
Reduced Hardware: Eliminates the need for separate screws, washers, or threaded inserts in the top panel.
Precise Spacing: The "F1.5" designation ensures a precise 1.5 mm gap/thickness compatibility between the joined sheets.
