The Heli-Coil® 3585-04CN224 is a tangless, screw-locking wire thread insert precision-manufactured from 304 stainless steel. Engineered to create permanent, high-strength #4-40 UNC internal threads in low-density parent metals such as aluminum and magnesium, its tangless design completely eliminates tang break-off and removal steps, accelerating assembly and eliminating foreign object debris (FOD) risks. Internal resilient locking coils exert uniform radial pressure on the mating fastener to resist rotational loosening caused by severe shock and vibration without requiring external locking devices.
