B-440-1ZI - Self-Clinching Blind Nut by PennEngineering ® (PEM ® )

The B-440-1ZI is a self-clinching blind nut designed to provide strong internal threads in thin metal sheets. The most distinct feature of this fastener is its closed-end (blind) design, which creates a barrier against dirt, dust, and moisture, while also protecting internal threads from screw penetration. This protects sensitive internal components from potential damage caused by over-long screws. The self-clinching profile ensures high pushout and torque-out resistance once installed, and because the fastener is installed into a bottomed-out hole, the reverse side of the host sheet remains completely flush and smooth.
