Product Description
The BS-632-1 is a stainless steel self-clinching blind nut designed to provide high-strength internal threads in thin metal sheets. This fastener features a closed-end (blind) design, which acts as a protective barrier against dirt, dust, and moisture while simultaneously preventing screw penetration. By containing the screw within the nut, it protects sensitive internal components from damage caused by hardware extending too far. Its self-clinching profile ensures high pushout and torque-out resistance, and because it is installed into a bottomed-out hole, the reverse side of the host sheet remains completely flush and smooth.
Closed-End Protection: Barrier design prevents over-long screws from damaging internal components and seals out environmental contaminants.
Flush Rear Surface: The side opposite the installation remains smooth and unobstructed, ideal for aesthetic or clearance-critical applications.
Permanent Attachment: Clinches into place to provide reusable, high-strength threads that will not loosen, rotate, or fall out.
Corrosion Resistance: Manufactured from 300 Series Stainless Steel, making it suitable for use in demanding or corrosive environments.
Shank Code 1: Optimized for installation into thin metal sheets with a minimum thickness of 1.02 mm / .040 in.
