The PEM® BSOS-3.5M3-6 is a precise, low-profile blind threaded standoff engineered for secure low-clearance component spacing in thin sheet metals. Leveraging an innovative self-clinching design, it installs smoothly into properly sized round holes with a standard squeezing action, cold-flowing the host metal into its unique retention profile to become a permanent part of the panel. Its blind-threaded (closed) cavity keeps the opposite side of the sheet metal completely flush and unmarred for an uninterrupted exterior finish while shielding internal threads from outside dust, airflow, and debris. Manufactured from premium 300 Series Stainless Steel, it provides high torque-out and pushout resistance along with reliable corrosion defense, making it excellent for compact electronic devices, dense server components, and medical equipment.
Self-Clinching Functionality: Installs permanently using a standard press without the thermal stress or distortion caused by welding, delivering robust resistance to pullout and twisting.
Closed Blind Threading: Ensures a pristine, unbroken outer surface profile on the host sheet metal while sealing the internal attachment point from external elements.
