The PEM® BSOS-8632-22 is a high-performance self-clinching blind threaded standoff engineered by PennEngineering® to establish robust internal threads in thin metal sheets. These fasteners are pressed into properly sized round holes with a simple squeezing action, utilizing a self-clinching design that forces host panel material into the undercut to become a permanently mounted structural component. Because they feature blind-threaded engineering, the outer panel surfaces remain completely flush and closed. This ensures a pristine, unblemished exterior styling profile while introducing an unbreached physical barrier that seals off delicate internal circuit assemblies and the thread cavity from external dust, dirt, fluid, and airborne debris.
