The PEM® BSOS-M4-25 is an extra-long metric self-clinching blind threaded standoff precision-engineered by PennEngineering® to yield rugged, heavy-duty internal threads in thin sheet metal. These fasteners deploy via a steady, parallel pressing force into properly sized round holes, triggering a mechanical self-clinching movement that forces panel material into the undercut to become a permanently mounted structural component of the chassis. Thanks to its specialized blind-threaded engineering, the back side of the host sheet remains completely flush and closed after installation. This allows engineers to preserve a sleek, unmarred panel exterior while forming an unbreached physical barrier that isolates delicate internal electronic components and the thread cavity from external moisture, dust, and environmental contaminants.
