Product Description
The CLS-256-1 is a high-performance self-clinching nut manufactured by PennEngineering® (PEM®). Engineered to provide permanent, load-bearing threads in thin sheet metal, it installs easily using a parallel squeezing force. During the installation cycle, the host material cold flows directly into an undercut beneath the head, embedding the fastener into the panel to become an inseparable part of the assembly. Fabricated from 300 Series Stainless Steel, this precision metric-alternative unified nut delivers excellent corrosion resistance and high pushout and torque-out resistance, ensuring long-term structural integrity in electronic components and tight hardware enclosures.
Permanent Clinching Hold: Becomes a fully integrated, permanent part of the panel assembly using simple pressing action, completely eliminating the need for loose hardware or welding.
High Torque and Pushout Resistance: Forms a robust mechanical bond that safely withstands strong rotational and tensile loads without loosening or backing out.
Stainless Steel Construction: Manufactured from high-quality 300 Series Stainless Steel to offer reliable corrosion protection and a clean, durable finish.
Substantial Load-Bearing Capacity: Provides heavy-duty internal threading within thin panels, maximizing spatial efficiency while safely supporting attached components.
