Product Description
The CLS-440-3 is a precision self-clinching nut manufactured by PennEngineering® (PEM®). Engineered to provide permanent, load-bearing threads in thin metal panels, this fastener integrates into standard sheet metal using parallel squeezing force. During the installation cycle, the host material cold flows directly into an undercut beneath the head, embedding the fastener securely into the panel so it becomes an inseparable part of the assembly. Fabricated from 300 Series Stainless Steel, it delivers long-term corrosion resistance and high pushout and torque-out resistance, ensuring structural joint integrity in robust electronic and industrial enclosures.
Permanent Clinching Hold: Becomes an integrated, permanent part of the panel assembly using simple pressing action, completely eliminating loose hardware or welding.
High Torque and Pushout Resistance: Forms a robust mechanical bond that safely withstands heavy structural, rotational, and tensile forces without loosening.
Stainless Steel Construction: Manufactured from high-quality 300 Series Stainless Steel to offer reliable corrosion protection and a clean, durable finish.
Substantial Load-Bearing Capacity: Provides heavy-duty internal threading within thin panels to maximize spatial efficiency while safely supporting attached components.
