The PEM® S-632-1ZI Self-Clinching Nut by PennEngineering® is a high-performance industrial fastener designed to provide permanent, load-bearing threads in thin metal sheets. Engineered for ease of installation, this carbon steel nut is pressed into a pre-drilled hole using a parallel squeezing force, which causes the sheet metal to cold flow into an undercut for a secure, integral bond. To ensure maximum stability, a serrated clinching ring prevents the fastener from rotating when torque is applied. The S-632-1ZI is finished with a zinc plating and integrated lubricant for smooth assembly and corrosion resistance, making it an ideal solution for applications requiring high pushout and torque-out resistance in steel or aluminum sheets with a hardness of HRB 80 or less.
