The SS-032-1ZI is a self-clinching nut from PennEngineering® (PEM®) engineered to provide strong, permanent internal threads in thin sheet metal where conventional tapping or welding is impractical. Designed for press-in installation, the nut becomes securely anchored as the surrounding sheet material cold-flows into the nut’s annular undercut, creating a high-strength mechanical interlock that resists both torque-out and push-out.
Featuring a #8-32 UNC thread, the SS series offers reliable load-bearing capability while maintaining a flush-mounted profile on the installation side—ideal for applications with tight clearance or cosmetic requirements. Manufactured from carbon steel with a zinc-plated (ZI) finish, the SS-032-1ZI delivers excellent durability and corrosion resistance for general-purpose and indoor environments.
