Product Description
The BS-832-1 is a stainless steel self-clinching blind nut engineered to provide high-strength internal threads in thin metal sheets. This fastener is distinguished by its closed-end (blind) design, which creates a physical barrier that protects internal components from screw penetration and seals the assembly against dirt, dust, and moisture. By containing the screw within the nut, it eliminates the risk of damage to sensitive circuitry or adjacent parts from over-long hardware. The self-clinching profile ensures the nut becomes a permanent part of the assembly with high torque-out and pushout resistance, while maintaining a completely flush and smooth finish on the reverse side of the host sheet.
Closed-End Protection: Barrier design prevents over-long screws from damaging internal components and seals out environmental contaminants.
Flush Rear Surface: The side opposite the installation remains smooth and unobstructed, ideal for aesthetic or clearance-critical applications.
Permanent Attachment: Clinches into place to provide reusable, high-strength threads that will not loosen, rotate, or fall out.
Corrosion Resistance: Manufactured from 300 Series Stainless Steel, making it suitable for use in demanding or corrosive environments.
Shank Code 1: Optimized for installation into thin metal sheets with a minimum thickness of 1.02 mm / .040 in.
