The PEM® BSO4-032-10 is a self-clinching blind threaded standoff specifically engineered for permanent installation into stainless steel sheets. Unlike standard fasteners, it is manufactured from specialty hardened 400 series stainless steel, allowing it to successfully clinch into host materials with hardness ratings as high as HRB 88. Its closed-end (blind) design creates an impermeable barrier that seals the assembly against contaminants such as dust and moisture while simultaneously protecting internal components by preventing screws from over-extending into the chassis. By utilizing a self-clinching technical design, the standoff becomes an integral part of the sheet when squeezed into a round hole, providing superior pushout and torque-out resistance with a head that remains flush with the mounting surface.
