The PEM® BSO4-032-28 is a self-clinching blind threaded standoff specifically engineered for permanent installation into stainless steel sheets. Manufactured from specially hardened 400 series stainless steel, this fastener is designed to clinch into host materials with hardness levels as high as HRB 88. Its closed-end (blind) design creates a solid barrier that seals the assembly against contaminants such as dust and moisture while protecting internal components by limiting screw penetration. When squeezed into a round hole using a standard press, the standoff becomes an integral part of the chassis, providing high pushout and torque-out resistance with a head that remains flush with the mounting surface for a streamlined exterior appearance.
