Product Description
The PennEngineering® (PEM®) CLS-M2-1 is a high-precision self-clinching nut engineered to provide ultra-reliable, load-bearing threads in thin sheet metals. Formed from high-grade 300 Series Stainless Steel, this fastener exhibits exceptional corrosion resistance, making it ideal for high-density electronic assemblies, medical hardware, and aerospace enclosures. When installed into a properly sized metric hole using a parallel squeezing force, the parent panel material cold flows seamlessly into the nut's special undercut, integrating the fastener as a permanent, integral part of the sheet. An engineered serrated clinching ring completely locks the nut into the metal panel, delivering maximum pushout and torque-out resistance to prevent the fastener from rotating or loosening during service.
High Pushout and Torque-Out Resistance Ensures heavy-duty thread performance and structural hold under high physical forces.
Serrated Clinching Ring Fully dynamic grip anchors the fastener tightly to completely stop component rotation in service.
300 Series Stainless Steel Construction Provides excellent rust and corrosion protection for sensitive or clean industrial environments.
Undercut Panel Interlock Captures cold-flowed host metal via parallel squeezing force to securely lock without distorting or welding.
