Product Description
The PennEngineering® (PEM®) CLS-M2-2 is a precision-engineered self-clinching nut built to establish high-strength, load-bearing threads in thin sheet metal panels. Manufactured from durable 300 Series Stainless Steel, this high-performance fastener offers excellent corrosion resistance and long-term durability in complex electronic, medical, and industrial applications. When squeezed into a properly prepared metric mounting hole, the surrounding metal panel cold flows seamlessly into the nut's special undercut, anchoring the fastener as an integral part of the sheet. Featuring a dedicated serrated clinching ring, this nut locks permanently into position to provide high pushout and torque-out resistance, ensuring completely reliable thread attachment without requiring welding or extra tapping hardware.
High Pushout and Torque-Out Resistance Delivers maximum structural joint integrity, keeping threads completely locked under torque or pulling forces.
Serrated Clinching Ring Fully dynamic grip bites cleanly into the host panel material to prevent the fastener from rotating in service. 300
Series Stainless Steel Material Provides premium protection against rust and corrosion, making it perfect for sensitive or demanding environments.
Undercut Mechanical Interlock Utilizes cold-flow displacement under standard parallel squeezing force to attach permanently without distorting or warping panels.
