Product Description
The PennEngineering® (PEM®) CLS-M2.5-1 is a high-precision self-clinching nut designed to provide permanent, load-bearing threads in thin sheet metal panels. Fabricated from premium 300 Series Stainless Steel, this robust fastener offers excellent corrosion resistance and non-magnetic performance, making it highly reliable for compact consumer electronics, datacom systems, and medical equipment. When installed into a properly sized metric hole using a parallel squeezing force, the parent sheet metal cold flows directly into the nut's special undercut to integrate the hardware into the panel. Equipped with a specialized serrated clinching ring, the nut resists rotating or loosening under physical stress, ensuring maximum pushout and torque-out resistance during final product service.
High Pushout and Torque-Out Resistance Delivers structural thread integrity, ensuring the permanent joint remains locked under axial load or torque forces.
Serrated Clinching Ring Grips the host panel material securely upon installation to completely stop fastener spinning and rotation.
300 Series Stainless Steel Composition Inherently non-magnetic and highly corrosion-resistant, satisfying cleanroom or harsh-environment specifications.
Undercut Panel Interlock Captures displaced sheet metal through standard parallel squeezing to create a clean mechanical fit without welding or warping.
