Product Description
The CLSS-M5-2 is a stainless steel threaded insert that utilizes a self-clinching design to become an integral part of the host chassis or panel. When pressed into a properly sized round hole, the fastener’s clinching ring displaces host material into the annular groove, ensuring high torque-out and pushout resistance.
Because it is made from 300 Series stainless steel, it offers excellent corrosion resistance and is ideal for use in aluminum or cold-rolled steel panels. The "2" shank code indicates it is optimized for specific sheet thickness ranges to ensure a flush finish on the reverse side.
