The PEM® S-632-2ZI Self-Clinching Nut by PennEngineering® is a high-strength, carbon steel fastener engineered to provide permanent load-bearing threads in thin metal panels. This "Type S" nut is designed for installation into steel or aluminum sheets with a hardness of HRB 80 or less. By applying a parallel squeezing force, the sheet metal cold flows into the nut's undercut, making the fastener an integral part of the assembly. Featuring a serrated clinching ring to prevent rotation and a Shank Code 2 for thicker sheet compatibility, the S-632-2ZI offers exceptional torque-out and pushout resistance. Its zinc-plated finish with integrated lubricant ensures both corrosion protection and consistent installation performance in demanding electronics and industrial enclosures.
