Product Description
The S-832-2ZI is a self-clinching nut from PennEngineering® (PEM®) designed to provide strong, permanent internal threads in thin sheet metal assemblies. Using PEM’s proven clinching technology, the nut is pressed into a properly sized round hole, where displaced sheet material flows into the nut’s undercut, creating a secure, flush-mounted fastening solution.
This process delivers excellent torque-out and push-out resistance without the need for welding, adhesives, or secondary fastening hardware. The 8-32 UNC internal thread makes the S-832-2ZI ideal for inch-series designs commonly used in electronics, enclosures, appliances, and general industrial equipment.
Manufactured from carbon steel with a zinc plating (ZI), the S-832-2ZI provides good corrosion resistance for indoor and general-purpose environments while maintaining high mechanical strength and consistent performance.
