The Heli-Coil® T3585-02CPF129 is a tangless, screw-locking wire thread insert precision-formed from 304 stainless steel with a Primer Free II coating. Engineered to create permanent, high-strength #2-56 UNC threads in low-density parent metals such as aluminum and magnesium, its tangless design eliminates tang break-off and retrieval steps, accelerating installation and preventing foreign object debris (FOD) hazards in miniature components. Internal resilient locking coils exert constant radial pressure on the mating bolt to resist rotational loosening caused by severe shock and vibration, while the specialized Primer Free II finish lowers insertion torque and prevents galling without requiring additional liquid primers.
Tangless Wire Construction eliminates tang break-off and vacuum retrieval steps, shortening assembly cycles and completely preventing foreign object debris (FOD) hazards.
Screw-Locking Mechanism features straight-segment internal coils that securely grip bolts to prevent vibration-induced loosening without needing external lock washers.
