The PEM® BSOS-832-14 is a robust, precision-engineered unified blind threaded standoff designed to establish durable internal clearance within thin sheet metal chassis. Utilizing a field-proven self-clinching design, the fastener inserts cleanly into a properly sized round hole and locks permanently in place with a standard squeezing force, cold-flowing the host metal to ensure high torque-out and pushout resistance without welding. Its blind-threaded (closed) pocket prevents the mounting screw from penetrating through the fastener, keeping the opposite side of the sheet metal completely flush and unmarred for a flawless external cosmetic finish. This closed design also serves as an effective barrier, safeguarding sensitive internal electronics from outside dust, air currents, and liquid contaminants.
