The PEM® CSOS-M5-8 is a precision-engineered concealed-head self-clinching standoff designed to create permanent metric internal threads for spacing or mounting components in thin sheet metal fabrications. Fabricated from rugged 300 Series Stainless Steel, this metric-threaded fastener provides high structural strength and reliable corrosion protection, making it an excellent choice for medical devices, consumer electronics, and automotive enclosure panels. Because the fastener head locks securely inside a blind, milled hole, the side of the host sheet opposite the installation remains completely smooth and unmarred. When integrated using standard parallel pressing tooling, the surrounding host material cold-flows smoothly around the head into its precision undercut, ensuring outstanding load-bearing capacity while maintaining a flawless external aesthetic.
