The PEM® DSO-M3-6.35ZI is a precision-manufactured, close-to-edge self-clinching standoff engineered to provide stable component spacing and strong permanent threads in ultra-confined sheet metal layouts. Fabricated from high-strength heat-treated carbon steel and coated with a protective colorless zinc plating, this metric-threaded fastener delivers excellent mechanical performance and dependable corrosion protection. Specifically designed for dense electronic architectures, its specialized geometry allows it to be installed significantly closer to the edge of a host panel than standard self-clinching standoffs without buckling the sheet margin. When integrated using standard parallel squeezing force, the fastener's knurled head causes the host material to cold-flow seamlessly into its precision undercut, establishing exceptional pushout and torque-out resistance while leaving a flush profile on the reverse side of the thin metal sheet.
