The Heli-Coil® T1185-06CPF138 is a tangless, free-running wire thread insert precision-formed from 304 stainless steel with a Primer Free II coating. Designed to create high-strength #6-32 UNC threads in soft metals such as aluminum and magnesium, its tangless design eliminates the need for tang break-off and retrieval, significantly reducing assembly cycle times and preventing foreign object debris (FOD). The precision helical coil distributes clamping loads evenly, providing exceptional corrosion resistance and protecting tapped holes against thread stripping and galling.
