The PEM® A4-632-1 is a high-strength Floating Self-Clinching Nut specifically engineered for installation into stainless steel sheets. As part of the A4™ Series, this fastener provides permanent, load-bearing threads in thin panels where tapping is not structurally viable or practical.

The core advantage of this component is its internal "floating" nut element, which is held captive within a stationary retainer. This design allows for a total float of 0.76 mm (.030 in), providing lateral adjustment to compensate for mating hole misalignment. This capability is essential for complex assemblies where cumulative tolerances or minor hole positioning inaccuracies might otherwise prevent standard fixed fasteners from aligning with mating screws.
