Product Description
The AS-032-2ZI consists of a threaded nut element held captive within a stationary retainer. This configuration allows the internal nut to "float" up to 0.030 in (0.76 mm) total (0.015 in in any direction from the center). This float is critical for assemblies where precision tolerances are difficult to maintain or where multiple holes must align simultaneously.
Misalignment Compensation: Reduces assembly rejects and labor time by allowing the nut to move to meet the mating screw.
Captive Hardware: The nut remains trapped within the retainer after installation, preventing loose parts from damaging sensitive electronics.
